The Education Committee was one of the initial foundation groups of the Leadership Council when it was founded in 1983. The Committee keeps the Leadership Council as a whole informed of legislative changes that impact policy, funding, and performance measures. In addition, it acts as a liaison for communication and action planning between public schools and higher education institutions in addressing the current and future needs of business and industry.
